
Public Hearings Begin For Proposed MTA Fare Increases, Residents Encouraged To Weigh In
The County of Rockland and County Executive Ed Day encourage residents and commuters to share their comments with the MTA about the proposed fare and toll increases to West of Hudson lines.
The MTA Board will vote on the fare and toll changes in July with changes expected to go into effect no later than Labor Day.
County Executive Ed Day submitted a letter Thursday in opposition to the proposed 4 to 7 percent increases for West of Hudson while East of Hudson lines see minimal or no increases.
Upcoming public hearings begin today in hybrid format, offering both in-person and online comment opportunities:
Thursday, June 22, 2023 (10 am-2 pm)
Thursday, June 22, 2023 (6 pm-9 pm)
Friday, June 23, 2023 (10 am-2 pm)
Monday, June 26, 2023 (6 pm-9 pm)
All hearings will take place in person at MTA Headquarters located at 2 Broadway, New York, NY on the 20th Floor and online via Zoom.
