Putin Sends Rosh Hashana Message To Russian Jewery
As has become an annual practice leading up to Rosh Hashana, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a letter of congratulations to the Jews of Russia to Chief Rabbi of Russia, Rabbi Berel Lazar.
On the evening preceding Rosh Hashanah, a special envoy of Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived with a greeting card and wishes in honor of Rosh Hashanah and the new year for goodness and greeting.
In the letter President Putin writes: “To the Jews of Russia, I congratulate you on one of the oldest and most revered holidays in the Jewish calendar – Rosh Hashanah. The successful development of the State of Russia, devoting tireless attention to fruitful social work, actively participating in the implementation of educational, patriotic, enlightened and charitable projects. “In lasting universal human values such as good neighborliness, trust and mutual understanding. I wish you health, prosperity and a happy holiday!”
