
Rainstorm Floods Multiple Rockland County Streets, Work To Open Streets Is Ongoing
As rain fell in Rockland County, many streets with low lying areas became flooded, effectively closing many of the roadways in the county.
Here is a partial list of roadways effected by flooding.
Flooding conditions
College Road- Heavy flooding condition between Smolley Dr and Viola Road – REOPENED
Old Nyack Turnpike in the area of Chestnut Ridge Village Hall- Flooding Condition- REOPENED
Route 306/Edison Ct- Minor flooding- Road was not closed-Vehicles still able to pass
Remsen Ave/ Route 59- minor flooding- Road still passable
Grandview Ave between Spook Rock Road and Willow Tree Rd Heavy flooding- REOPENED
Spook Rock Road between Wesley Chapel and Route 202- REOPENED
S. Pascack in Nanuet and Route 303 in Valley Cottage – REOPENED
Route 303 at the Route 59 interchange – CLOSED
Jeffrey Court in West Nyack is also flooded
Rt 59 (West Nyack) closed in both directions near Palisades Ctr. Mall – CLOSED
