The Ramapo Police Department hosted another “Coffee with a Cop” event, this time at the Kosher Coffee shop Hava Java.
“Thank you to Hava Java for hosting our Coffee with a Cop event again,” the Ramapo Police wrote on Facebook. “Yumi, Michael, and the staff went above and beyond by providing coffee and pastries to our officers and visitors.”
Notable people at the event were Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht, Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, and Town of Ramapo OEP Coordinator Josh Hans who came to join Chief Reilly, Captain Lee, and Officer Julianne Franklin in speak with the residents of the town.
“Building positive relationships between law enforcement and the community is crucial for promoting safety and trust,” RPD said. “Events like Coffee with a Cop provide an opportunity for members of the community to have open and honest conversations with law enforcement officers in a relaxed and informal setting. By listening to the concerns and perspectives of community members, law enforcement can better understand the needs and priorities of the community and work collaboratively to address them.”
