Ramapo Supervisor Gives Update On Upcoming Storm

An important weather update was released from the Office of the Supervisor.

It seems that the bad weather continues in the form of rain. Please take precautions as flooding will most likely be possible in low-lying areas. Due to predicted high winds, if you have anything that is not anchored down outside, please secure it. The supervisor and the Emergency Response Team will be monitoring the weather event throughout the day and evening. If you have an emergency please contact your local police.

Here’s the weather for today:

From The Rockland Highway Department: Good morning! Rain showers will develop around 11am-12pm today, but a few snow showers may try to mix in from 10am-11am before the rain gets started. Rain will be likely (up to 80% chance) through 3am Wednesday and rain will be heavy at times. After 3am Wednesday, there is a slight (20-40% chance) for some lingering, light rain showers through 12pm Wednesday, but dry conditions will return after 12pm and continue through the rest of the afternoon. Up to a trace of snow is expected, and rainfall accumulations will approach 2.5-3.0 inches through Wednesday. Stronger winds will develop through this afternoon and continue through Wednesday afternoon. Winds will be from the east-southeast today before switching to the west-southwest tomorrow. Sustained winds will be around 8-16 mph with gusts approaching 30-45 mph.
