Ramapo Valley EMS Claims Discrimination From the Town, Claims They Are Withholding Calls and Money
by Monsey.info
At Ramapo Valley EMS, it’s not just about call volume, it’s about targeted discrimination.
In a series of news articles and videos released by the press, the management of Ramapo Valley EMS claimed that the Town of Ramapo was purposefully discriminating against them by withholding emergency calls and money.
According to the claims made, the Ramapo Valley Ambulances were remaining unused at the organizations garage as the town gives the emergency calls to other organizations.
The Rockjland County Times also noted a claim by the EMS department that the town owed them as much as $16,000 in Federal Aid Money, and are refusing to release it.
A response from the town was published by the news outlet, quoting an email that said “This email is to request you contact your client and advise them to cease spreading false information and attempting to cause public fear…at this point in time, the Town is strongly considering removing RVAC from its future plans and providing this territory to other Ambulance Corps who are better equipped and staffed to serve the public. RVAC is not doing itself any favors by engaging in fear mongering through the spread of false information. If you desire personally to save your client’s future, now is the time.”
