Air raid sirens in northern Israel wailed at 10:55am Friday morning as Hezbollah launched nineteen rockets towards Israel.

According to a statement by the IDF, three of the rockets fell within Lebanese territory, ten were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system, and six landed in open areas near Har Dov, triggering sirens in Neve Ativ, Ein Qiniyye, and Kibbutz Snir.

No injuries or damage was reported, but residents reported hearing explosions in the area.

Hezbollah took responsibility for the launches, saying they were in response to continued Israeli attacks in Lebanese territory.

“In recent days, the IDF has been conducting extensive attacks in Lebanon, including firing artillery and attacking infrastructure with war planes,” an IDF source said, adding that such fighting “has not happened in years.”

As the rocket launcher responsible was leaving the launch site, it passed through a Druze village, where the villagers stopped the truck and arrested the drivers.

Such civil unrest within Lebanon and against Hezbollah has been increasing dramaticly as the economic situation in the country deteriorates.
