Rockland County COVID Deaths Hit Tragic Milestone
by Monsey.info
The total number of deaths attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic in Rockland County has hit a tragic milestone, as 1,001 people have been labeled as victims of the virus.
The 1,000th COVID death in Rockland was recorded two weeks ago, showing that the virus is still around, if much better managed than last year.
Other important COVID statistics include the amount of hospitalizations, 15, and active cases, which stands at 802.
These numbers are again going to be under increased scrutiny as the State braces for what is expected to be another wave of COVID-19 this winter.
The cold weather, and its propensity to increase the number of sick people, will be compounded with the most recent strain of the virus which thankfully has so far been shown to cause only mild symptoms.
