The Rockland County government has announced that its parks will be reopening beginning May 1st.

The welcome news will likely bring relief to those who have been cooped up at home since the lockdown started.

Presently, parks will be open for walking only, with social distancing and walking directional signs being posted.

Amenities such as restrooms, playgrounds, pavilions, picnic tables, all lawn areas, park benches, fishing piers and dog runs will still remain closed for the time being.
