Rockland Hatzalah Volunteer Assaulted While On An Emergency Call, Assailant Apprehended

A Rockland Hatzalah volunteer on an emergency call in Spring Valley was assaulted Sunday by an irate truck driver.

According to reports, the volunteer had responded for an emergency on Ridge Ave, and had blocked the street with his vehicle. A truck driver also on the block had allegedly become frustrated and assaulted the Hatzalah volunteer.

A call was put out to Chaverim of Rockland and 911, who responded and arrested the assailant after Chaverim was able to identify him.

No serious injuries were reported to the Hatzalah volunteer.
