“Another good news story!”
Rockland Executive Ed day gave a shout out on Facebook to the Jewish community’s Rockland Hatzoloh after they distributed “COVID Safe” meals to various agencies and departments throughout Rockland.
“Recently Hatzoloh of Rockland distributed “COVID Safe” meals to various agencies and departments,” day posted on his official Facebook page. “They were distributed with appreciation to staff personnel at various locations across the county including Good Samaritan Hospital, Nyack Montefiore Hospital, Ramapo Police Department and the Spring Valley Police Department.
The Ramapo Police Department voiced their own appreciation when they received their delivery on February 1st, just as the season’s first major snowstorm dumped nearly two feet of snow.
“Stay safe Hatzoloh; we appreciate the partnership,” the department said, posting a picture of a group of Hatzoloh volunteers who dropped off the thank-you packages.
Dy wrote “A big “Thank you” to Hatzolah of Rockland, and it is good to see first responders working together and not letting a little snow stop them from both doing their jobs and helping our community.”
Hatzoloh responded saying “Thank you for the acknowledgment Mr Day! It was our privelege to be able to give a little pick me up to many of our caring first reponders, nurses, doctors, police officers and other hard working staff during the storm. We are glad everyone was able to be at work to help keep Rockland County residents safe and cared for.”
