In what is being termed by Rockland County Executive Ed Day as an “Investment” in Rockland’s Tourism industry, multiple local non profits were awarded small cash grants.

“We are awarding 18 organizations with $175,691 for art, music, theater, sports, and culture,” said County Executive Ed Day. “We want people to come here and spend time in our downtowns, restaurants, stores.”

The county, along with New York State, has been handing out such tourism grants since 2014.

This year, one of the recipients was the Rockland Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education, which received a $5,000 grant.
