Seniors Get Boost From Rockland Government

Rockland County Executive Ed Day signed two resolutions Tuesday with Rockland County Office for the Aging Director Tina Cardoza-Izquierdo, to extend contracts with Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Rockland.
The resolution extended the contracts for operation of five senior centers with transportation, as well as home delivery meals for those over 60.
The details of the resolution are below:
- $206,295 for a total of $825,180 to provide for the operation of 5 senior centers designated by the Office for the Aging with congregate meals and transportation to and from the centers for qualified seniors.
- $57,104.75 for a total of $228,419 to provide home delivered meals for persons over the age of 60.
