by Monsey.info

This may be remembered as one of the more bizarre finds in the Haverstraw area, an alligator discovered in Minisceongo Creek.

Haverstraw police responded Thursday at around 11:10am to the Minisceongo Creek area of Bridge Street in Garnerville for a report of an alligator in the creek.

The caller wasn’t joking and the Haverstraw Police Department personnel assisted in successfully removing the alligator from the water. The Hudson Valley Humane Society of Pomona responded to the scene to take possession and care of the alligator.
