In a rare incident, the pilot of a small sea plane found himself out of fuel Tuesday evening. Being a sea plane, he found the most accessible landing strip available, the Hudson River.
The plane landed in the Rockland area of the river, and touched down without any injuries.
Emergency services responded, and rescued the aircraft and its occupants.
The plane was later towed by boat to Tarrytown.
