Snow Update For Rockland County

A weather update has been released from the Ramapo Highway Department providing the most up to date information on the incoming storm.

Timeline: Snow is expected to develop in the area around 6-7pm this evening. The snow will turn to rain around 12am-2am tonight. Rain will continue Monday morning and then turn back to snow showers for Monday afternoon, ending around 5-7pm Monday.

Accumulation: Snow accumulations tonight will be around 2-4″. Rainfall amounts of 0.50-1.00″ will also be possible. Additional snowfall Monday afternoon will be less than 0.50″.

Temperatures: Temperatures will be in the upper 20s this evening, rising into mid to upper 30s after midnight, lower 40s Monday morning then dropping back into the mid 30s Monday afternoon.

Winds: Winds will be east at 10-20 mph with gust to 30 mph this evening, increasing to 25-35 mph with gusts to 45-55 mph late tonight. The wind will turn to the west at 15-25 mph with gusts to 35-40 mph by late Monday morning.
