Speeding on the Palisades Parkway Gets Monsey Man Nine Tickets and a DWI Arrest

A Monsey Man speeding on the Palisades Parkway earned nine tickets and a DWI arrest after being caught by State Troopers.
According to a statement from the NYS Police, at approximately 11:50pm on March 14th, a state trooper from the Haverstraw barracks observed a 2020 Honda Civic traveling on the Palisades Parkway in the town of Orangetown in excess of 100 mph. When troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, the operator of the vehicle attempted to elude the troopers and exited the parkway.
Troopers were able to stop the vehicle on State Route 59 and Smith Street in the Town of Clarkstown, where the driver, Baruch Ungar, age 26 from Monsey, was taken into custody.
While speaking to troopers it was determined that Ungar was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He had a blood alcohol content of 0.13%.
In addition to the DWI charge, Ungar was issued 9 tickets, including speeding 101 mph in a 55 mph zone.
He was released on an appearance ticket and scheduled to appear in the Town of Orangetown Court on April 20, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
