Spring Valley Man Killed in Rockland County Thruway Crash
A Spring Valley man was killed in a two-car crash on the Thruway in the Town of Clarkston on Sunday morning.
State Police identified the victim as Rashid Hopson, 19, who was one of three back seat passengers in a car that struck the rear of another vehicle on the northbound highway at about 7:47 a.m.
Troopers said a 2015 Honda Accord, driven by Alon Forbes, 18, of the Bronx struck the rear of a 2016 Subaru Outback. The Honda continued off the right shoulder, through a guide rail, coming to rest down a 40-foot embankment.
