Sring Valley Mother Arrested After Child Dies Without Adult Supervision

A 36-year-old mother has been taking into custody after her one-year-old child died while alone with their six-year-old sibling.

According to the Spring alley Police Department, they receive a 911 call at approximately 8:40pm Saturday to 101 Kennedy Dr. Apartment F7 for a report of a one-year-old child that was trapped between a bed and the wall.

Upon arrival, officers located the child who was unresponsive and still trapped. Firefighters were called to extricate the child, who was later transported to the hospital with CPR in progress.

He was pronounced deceased an hour later in Nyack Hospital.

Chesed Shel Emes’s services were not needed in this incident.

The investigation revealed that the child had been left in the custody of his six-year-old sibling without any adult supervision. The mother of the child was arrested and charged with Manslaughter, a Class C Felony.
