State Police Conducted Speed and Aggressive Driving Detail on the Palisades Parkway

The New York State Police have responded to numerous serious motor vehicles crashes on the Palisades Interstate Parkway that have resulted in fatal and serious injuries. State Police Troop F conducted an Aggressive Driving Campaign in the Palisades Interstate Parkway from May 15, 2023, to May 28, 2023, to deter motorists from speeding and reckless driving.

On several occasions the State Police were assisted by the Rockland Sheriff’s Office. The results of the two-week detail were as follows: 993 tickets, 527 of those tickets were for speeding, and 8 Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) arrests.

Motorists can expect to see more details on The Palisades Parkway for the foreseeable future. We encourage all drivers to drive safely, slow down, stay off of all electronic devices, do not consume alcohol or any other type of drug while driving, and respect other motorists.
