A message from the Town of Ramapo: Good morning everyone, the snow has begun to fall lightly and the Ramapo Highway Dept. has already put their plan in place to ensure that their designated areas are safe for all. Below is the most recent forecast from our Highway dept. Please, if you must go out do it today so that the snow plows can do their jobs in keeping our roads safe tonight and tomorrow.
A Message from the Town of Clarkstown: The Clarkstown Highway Department (Bob Milone Superintendent of Highways- Clarkstown) has been preparing for several days with brine applied to the roads, plow trucks serviced, loaded with salt and equipment ready to go once the storm starts. The track of the storm appears to be settling in and bearing down on New York with more significant snow totals expected on Long Island and in New England. However, a slight shift could bring our snow totals higher. Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc. has additional crews at the ready given the wind gusts and heavy snow.
A Message from the Village of Airmont: To allow our snow plowing contractor to efficiently clear the roads and for the safety of our residents there will be no on-street parking during this time period. Thank you for your cooperation in following these regulations, and maintaining a safe environment for all Village residents.
A Message from Rockland County Government: Rockland County Highway Department crews have pre-treated County roads and trucks have been loaded with salt. Crews are prepared to hit the road when the snow starts falling. Please stay off the roads and if you must travel use extreme caution. Allow our plows to do their jobs safely.
