Suspect in Custody In Nanuet Chase Bank Robbery

The Clarkstown Detective Bureau reported that a person of interest was in custody in regards to the Chase Bank robbery in Nanuet Monday.

Detectives had been able to gather invaluable information at the scene, which led investigators to Jamie Bass, 46, of New City, at a local hotel.

The time it took to place the person of interest into custody was just four hours from when the robbery occurred.

Jamie was taken into police custody at 1:45pm Monday afternoon, while the bank robbery had occurred at the Chase Bank located at 123 E RT. 59 in Nanuet at approximately 10:40am.

A still of the person of interest was released by the Clarkstown Police Department, taken from the banks surveillance camera footage.

He was charged with felony third-degree robbery.
