Suspect In Shooting of NYPD Officer Arrested in Spring Valley

A suspect in the shooting of an off duty NYPD officer was caught Monday as he attempted to hide out in a Spring Valley Hotel.

According to reports, the 40-year-old man was taken into custody by the Regional Fugitive Task Force.

The shooting the suspect is wanted in connection to took place as the off duty officer was allegedly involved in a transaction to purchase a vehicle. The transaction allegedly turned into an attempted robbery which resulted in the officer being shot and in critical condition.
