Tartikov Wins Again, Judge Rules Town To Pay $2.4 Million in Legal Expenses

by Monsey.info

A Federal Judge handed Tartikov another win this week with a ruling that required the Town of Pomona to pay $2.4 Million in legal fees to the congregation.

The ruling comes as as the two sides continue to fight over zoning laws that the congregation claims are discriminatory.

While not a complete win, as the judge only ordered $2.4 out of the $5 Million sought by Tartikov, the ruling does move the case one step further.

According to Lohud, the Town is insured against such lawsuits, and the town board is considering the ruling a win due to the lesser amount awarded.

While the ruling presently stands, the case is far from over, with appeals still possible.
