Three-Month Extension for Entering the US on Expired US Passports

Chaim V’Chessed

As reported by Chaim V’Chessed, for the past many months, US citizens have been allowed to fly to the US with an expired US passport, provided they meet specific conditions, detailed here. This provision was set to expire at the end of March. This would have posed difficulties for those planning travel to the US for Pesach who have been unable to obtain US passports in a timely fashion.

The deadline has now been extended to the end of June. Please be aware that this is only valid for entry to the US on direct, non-stop flights. Please see here for full details of this rule.
