UPDATED: Two People Shot in Monsey Erev Shabbos

Just minutes after 3:00pm Friday afternoon, police responded to reports of shots fired on Fletcher Ave in Monsey.

Emergency responders arrived to find two people shot, neither of them Jewish.

While the details of the shooting have still not been released, police are searching for a black male approximately five foot six, who fled the scene in a newer style white Camry.

Hatzoloh responded along with local EMS, rushing one of the victims to Westchester Medical Center and the other to Nyack Hospital.

UPDATE: One if the shooting victims, reportedly a teenager has succumbed to his wounds in the hospital.
