Two Years Since The Tragic Car Crash and Death of Two Jewish EMT’s in Rockland County

by Monsey.info

Today marks two years since Rockland County was thrown into shock over the tragic loss of two local Jewish volunteers in a horrific crash. EMT Moshe Herzog and EMT David Scneebalg will always be remembered.

“Today is the two year anniversary of one of the worst days in our corps history,” the William P. Faist Volunteer Ambulance Corps wrote on Facebook. “In the early morning hours of September 21st 2020 we lost Lt. Moshe Herzog and EMT David Schneelbalg in a tragic car accident. Both men were committed volunteers, EMT’s and more importantly our friends.”

These two young men had dedicated every free minute they had to serving their community, all in a volunteer capacity as EMT’s and in Chaverim of Rockland.

Moshe Herzog was a LT. with William Paul Faist Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and also served with Haverstraw Ambulance Corps, Inc. and Chaverim of Rockland.

David Schneelbag was a member of William Faist Ambulance Corps and Haverstraw EMS.

District Attorney Tom Walsh wrote in memory of their passing that he “remembers the service of Herzog and Schneelbag and continues to keep their families and members of the Rockland County EMS community in his thoughts and prayers.”
