Village of Nyack To Appoint New Village Manager

On Thursday, February 10 2022, the Village of Nyack Board of Trustees will appoint a new Village Administrator, according to a letter from the village.

“We are thrilled to welcome Andy Stewart, a resident of Nyack and an experienced public servant,” the Village wrote on tehri Facebook page. “We can’t wait for Andy to join the Nyack team!!”

Stewart, an experienced government manager, will be leaving his present position as Peekskill City Manager, a position he has held for two years.

A dedicated public servant, Andy has led the way with urban cleanliness and beauty.

“I took on urban litter and graffiti as head of Keep Rockland Beautiful for 11 years,” Stewarts LinkedIn page says. During that time, Andy “doubling its budget and building partnerships with schools, businesses and local governments to run massive cleanup campaigns and support beautification projects.”

Stewart also managed town services for Orangetown for six years.
