Woman Arested For Using A Fake ID at A Monsey Bank

At approximately 2:30pm Saturday afternoon, police responded to a local bank in the Monsey area for someone attempting to use a fake ID.

The woman had shown the fake ID to the clerk, attempting to withdraw money from another persons account. The woman was still on scene when the officers arrived.

The same woman had allegedly been at another bank in Chestnut Ridge earlier and withdrawn a large sum of money using the same fraudulent ID.

After conducting their investigation, the officers arrested the 42 year old female from the Bronx.

The woman was charged with the following Misdemeanors; False Personation, Criminal Impersonation (2 counts), Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification Information (2 Counts). She was also charged with the following Felonies; Attempted Grand Larceny 4th, Grand Larceny 3rd, 4 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd and Identity Theft 1st.

In compliance with NYS Criminal Justice Reform, the woman was released without having to post bail, and was advised to appear in court at a later date.
