Woman Dies After Being Run Over by Bus in New City

A 78 year-old New Heampstead woman was pronounced dead after she was run over by a bus in New City. the incident is presently under investigation.

Ramapo Police Department responded to a report of a person struck by a bus around 2:00pm Wednesday afternoon in New Heampstead.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of 484 New Hempstead Rd in New City, where a 73-year old female from New Hempstead was struck by a bus after leaving a program she attended at that location.

The woman was dragged under the bus, and was found to be in traumatic arrest.

The woman was pronounced dead, and the incident placed under investigation.
