Woman in Critical Condition After Being Struck By SUV in Spring Valley

A woman was rushed to the hospital Sunday evening after being hit by a white Chevy SUV in Spring Valley.

The accident happened in the eastbound lanes of Route 59 10:30pm.

Officers responding to a 911 call shut down the roadway temporarily as they investigated the incident.

The woman was taken to Westchester Medical Center in critical condition.

Police say the driver remained on the scene.
