Bush Fire Under Control In Rockland County
by Monsey.info
Smells like fore? it probably is.
A more than acre large bush fire in the Sterlington area near Sister Servants is under control Thursday, bringing the smell of smoke to the Rockland Community.
“This morning at approximately 6:00 AM, the Ramapo Police Department was dispatched to the Sterlington area near Sister Servants for a report of a brush fire spanning over an acre long,” the Ramapo Police Department wrote. Thanks to the efforts of the Sloatsburg Fire Department, Hillburn Fire Department, Tallman Volunteer Fire Department, and Suffern Fire Department, the fire was quickly contained and is now well under control, posing no threat to any buildings or property.”
Video and images from the scene show the fire burning its way through the underbrush of the wooded area, apparently, and thankfully, not spreading to the nearby trees.
