Fire Damages Pomona’s Mt Ivy Diner

Around 9:40pm Tuesday night, emergency responders arrived at Mt. Ivy Diner on Route 202 in Pomona for a fire.

The firefighters found flames billowing out of the roof of the diner, originating from a location near the diners register, according to one report.

Route 202 was blocked to traffic while the firefighters brought the fire under control and extinguished the flames. There were no reports of injuries.

Ramapo Police and Spring Hill Volunteer ambulance also responded to the incident.

By 11:00pm, the Ramapo Police Department had reported route 202 again open to traffic.

Te cause of the fire is under investigation.
