Massive Fire in Monroe Destroys Home

A Monroe home was completely engulfed in flames Wednesday morning, that lead to a request for additional firefighters from neighboring departments.

Emergency services received reports of a large fire in a Monroe home around 9:00am Wednesday morning. The fire, was reported at 250 Schunnemunk Road, and required multiple fire departments to combat.

The fire ultimately was brought under control, but only after completely leveling the home, leaving only part of the frame standing.

No injuries were reported in the fire.
