Mayor Katz Warns of Burglaries in Wesley Hills

Wesley Hills Mayor Marshall Katz has published a crime alert for his community after two incidents of burglary were reported in the area.

“Over the past days, the Ramapo Police Department has investigated 2 burglaries that have occurred in the Village of Wesley Hills,” Katz wrote in an email alert. “The first burglary occurred Tuesday Nov. 21 between the hours of 10:00am and 6:00pm on Lime Kiln Road while the residence was unoccupied. The second burglary occurred on Wednesday Nov. 22 between the hours of 10:00am and 7:00pm on Tobey Lane. The home was also unoccupied at the time of the incident.”

At this time, it is unknown if the incidents are related and the burglaries are being investigated by the Investigations Division.

“Residents are reminded to lock their doors, enable any security devices, and be vigilant for any suspicious activity,” Katz said. “Should any suspicious activity be noted, contact the Ramapo Police Department immediately.”
