Two new Jewish Trustees were sworn in as elected officials for the Town of Airmont Friday, beginning a new era for the rapidly changing town
Shimon Moses and Isaac Weiss stood before the town Clerk and swore to uphold their elected offices, changing the dynamics of a trustee board claimed by some to have been anti-Semitic.
Moses and Weiss received had received 1788 and 1786 votes respectively, beating out their competition Dispensa and Groff who only pulled in 804 and 811 each.
