Overturned Shabbos Candles Spark Early Shabbos Morning Fire in Spring Valley

A Jewish families home was damaged Shabbos morning after their Shabbos candles tipped over and sparked a fire.

According to the firefighters on the scene, the blaze began around 1:50am and an emergency call for help brought multiple fire companies to 51 Gladys Dr. The first responding firefighter, Battalion Chief Conjura, arrived on scene and confirmed the working fire with a well involved fire showing on the front side of the structure.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire, and contain the fire to one home, a significant feat as the home was part of a row of townhomes.

Thankfully no injuries were reported in the blaze.
