The National Weather Service has warned of an impending snow storm which may dump up to ten inches of snow on Rockland County.

The Winter Storm Watch was issued for late Monday night through Tuesday afternoon total snow accumulations of 6 to 8 inches with higher amounts around 10 inches possible across the higher elevations.

“As New Yorkers are preparing to celebrate Super Bowl Sunday, we are tracking a developing storm that will impact a substantial area of New York into the early part of the week,” Governor Hochul said in a press release. “I have directed State agencies to mobilize in preparation for this storm and urge everyone to watch for weather and travel updates as it develops.”

Travel in expected conditions may be very difficult and may make commuting Tuesday morning hazardous.
