Winter Weather Advisory In Effect For Rockland County
by Monsey.info
The US National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for our area beginning tonight and through early Friday morning.
About 2 to 4 inches of snow is being predicted for our area that will start late Thursday evening and turn into rain overnight into Friday morning, creating icy road conditions.
The Rockland County Highway Department crews are currently pre-treating County roads and trucks have been loaded with salt. Crews are prepared to hit the road when the snow starts falling.
New York State Governor Kathy Hochul also directed State agencies to prepare emergency response assets in advance of a winter storm system.
Keep a close eye on the weather conditions and use extreme caution if you need to travel.
