NYC Closes Satmar Yeshiva in Williamsburg Overt Measles Outbreak; Violations Issued As Well for Failure to Comply
The NYC Health Department announced Tuesday that it has closed another school in Williamsburg for failing to comply with an Order of the Health Commissioner in response to the current measles outbreak. Central UTA Boys Division (762 Wythe Avenue, Williamsburg, NY 11249) was closed for failing to exclude staff and students who did not have documentation of immunity.
Moldova to Relocate its Embassy to Jerusalem
Moldova’s government announced on Tuesday that it will move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv. The announcement followed fallout from a constitutional crisis and power struggle that ended last week with a constitutional court’s suspension of the country’s elected president, Igor Dodon.
France Smashes Neo-Nazi Cell over Plot to Attack Places of Worship
French police smashed a neo-Nazi cell accused of plotting attacks on Jewish or Muslim places of worship, judicial sources said Tuesday. Five members of the group, who were “close in ideology to the neo-Nazi movement” were charged between September and May over the alleged plot, which was still “ill-defined,” a source close to the investigation said.
